In celebration of the “United Nations International Day of the Girl Child”, we are excited to host the

WE LEAD: Empowering Our Girls Conference in downtown Jamaica, New York at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center on Saturday, October 13, 2018.  We request your organization's participation for this special event.  This is a chance to collaborate with other groups and individuals who share similar values and who wish to expose girls and young ladies to opportunities which can positively enhance their lives.

Our WE LEAD: Empowering Our Girls Conference will be a full day event with an audience of about 300 people (students, corporate/community leaders, mentors and local politicians). MMSI goal is to engage the entire family and young girls’ mentoring organizations in an effort to make a difference in today’s youth by providing awareness. There will be inspirational speakers discussing the needs and challenges girls face, while promoting girls’ empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights. There will also be entertainment, raffles and food.

The day will culminate with the “Gems Among Us” awards presentation, honoring outstanding individuals and organizations for their commitment to uplifting and empowering our girls.
